Just by chance we stumbled across this wonderful medium grain brown rice in the San Francisco Ferry terminal Farmers market. When you first see it you want to reach out and touch the grains... which they conveniently have a bowl of the grains for which you can massage the wonderfully soft and velvety rice.
Not being a brown rice person, I was totally intrigued by the feel. Being used to the long grain. brown rice that feels as hard as the "goodness" properties of brown rice has when you eat and digest it.
Greg, the owner of the family of rice farmers, is wonderful to talk to and even in the brief conversation we had, told me a lot about brown rice. We'll get more on this later, as soon as Jenny ointerviews him .....
